Orioles to host free program honoring Weaver

The Baltimore Orioles will host a special program in April, honoring and celebrating the life of legendary manager Earl Weaver.

The special tribute which has been named, “A Celebration of Earl,” will include a video tribute, and a collection of guest speakers including but not limited to Frank Robinson, Rick Dempsey and Buck Showalter.

Weaver passed away in Januar y at the age of 82. He’s one of six Orioles legends to receive a bronze sculpture at the ballpark.

The event will begin at 2 p.m. April 20. Gates A and H will open at 1 p.m. and complimentary parking will be available in Lot B/C. There is no admission for the event, but the park will promptly close following the event in preparation for the 5 p.m. game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
