BALTIMORE, Md. - The Orioles announced they had called up Dylan Bundy, the right-handed teen pitching phenom, who dominated minor league hitters this season.
The 19-year-old Bundy, the youngest Oriole to make the big league roster since 1967, went 9-3 with the Double-A Bowie Bay Sox and had a 2.08 ERA. He was also named to the Baseball America Minor League All-Star Team.
Bundy will join infielder Manny Machado in making his major league debut at age 20 or younger, the firs time a pair of Orioles had debuted in the same season since Paul Blair and Frank Bertaina did so in 1964.
