MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. (WXYZ) - A local teenager's wish to meet Taylor Swift has gone viral on Twitter.

"It's been my dream ever since I can remember." says Kayla Kincannon. "It would just mean the world to me; It would seriously be the best gift ever."

Kincannon  has been battling a brain tumor, and while doctors were able to shrink it, they say another one was discovered just three days ago

The Kincannon's have been in touch with the Make-A-Wish foundation, but Kayla's friends and classmates at Lamphere High School aren't waiting around..

So, in the hopes that they can make her dreams come true, they've started a Twitter campaign using the hashtag  #OperationGetKaylaToMeetTaylorSwift .

"I am speechless," Kincannon says. "I really don't know what to say. It just really means a lot to me that everyone cares so much and is trying to do everything they can to help me meet my idol."

So far her friends have reached their first goal of making the hashtag a world wide trending topic on Twitter. But they're still hoping the can get a meeting between Swift and Kayla.

"She's such an incredible role model and I really look up to her for who she is and what she represents and her talent," says Kincannon.
