VATICAN CITY - Pope Benedict the16th ( @ Pontifex ) sent out his first tweet this morning.
It says "Dear friends, i am pleased to get in touch with you through Twitter. Thank you for your generous response. I bless all of you from my heart."
More than half a million people follow the pope.
