Mom in China gives birth to 15-pound baby

BEIJING - A mother in central china has given birth to a 15.5 pound baby.
This is possibly the largest newborn on record since the country's founding in 1949.
The 29-year-old mother delivered the baby by C-section and both she and the baby are doing fine.
This baby could hold a record in china but he is not the heaviest baby born.
Guinness World Records says the heaviest newborn ever recorded was born to an Ohio woman in 1879 and weighed 23.7 pounds.
