JERUSALEM -

Missiles aren't the only weapons being used in the Gaza conflict.

Israel's finance minister says there has been a coordinated effort to cripple Israeli Web sites during the fighting.

But, the official says, most of those efforts have failed. One Web site was taken down by what appeared to be a denial of service attack -- but the site was back up and running within minutes.

Cyber security experts say hacking attempts are become a new aspect of modern-day warfare and states have to invest in fortifying their virtual defenses -- as much as they do have to protect their physical borders and airspace.
