Wind restrictions were put into effect on the Key Bridge and the Bay Bridge Tuesday morning.

On the Bay Bridge, as winds reached 40-49 mph, the decision to restrict house trailers, empty box trailers or any vehicle that, in the opinion of law-enforcement personnel, may not safely cross the bridge was made.

On the Key Bridge, no empty box trailers or tractor trailers under 64,000 pounds were allowed.

The restrictions were lifted at about 2 p.m.
