Weather causes dozens of delays/cancellations at BWI

While conditions are normal at Baltimore Washington Thurgood International Airport (BWI), dozens of flights scheduled to arrive at BWI were delayed or canceled Wednesday afternoon.
Though central Maryland experienced some snow and slush , our weather here was not to blame.
Inclement weather from what has been described as a "major winter storm" hit several areas of the nation's midsection and Northeast -- bringing heavy snow, high winds, blizzard warnings and even tornadoes.
Those expecting to fly out of BWI Wednesday evening were advised to contact their airline for updated flight information.
