Several vigils will be held in our area Wednesday night to remember the victims in the Sikh temple shooting in Wisconsin.
There will be one outside the White House from 6 to 9 p.m.
The other one will be held at the Sikh temple in Silver Spring at 8 p.m.
More than a dozen lawmakers and the Montgomery County Police Chief will at the candlelight vigil in Silver Spring.
For the third straight night, mourners in Wisconsin held a vigil for the six victims in Sunday's shooting.
Police have yet to identify a motive but say the suspected gunman Wade Michael Page may have had ties to white supremacist groups.
A wake and visitation for the victims are scheduled for Friday morning.
The Sikh community is calling for a national moment of silence on Sunday. It's asking people to mark observances at their churches, mosques, synagogues and other places of worship.
