GAITHERSBURG, Md. (WMAR) - Two 12-year-old girls are recovering after being hit by a van Friday evening.
Crews responded to the 600 block of North Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg just after 7:00 p.m.
Both girls were taken to a local pediatric trauma center in serious condition.
The driver of the van remained at the scene of the crash, but police are uncertain if any charges will be placed.
