MARYLAND (WMAR) - Violent storms ripped through Maryland Thursday evening, knocking several thousand BGE customers out of service. Crews are working hard to restore power.
Crews have restored power to about 7,700 customers total since the beginning of Thursday's storm. About 22,500 customers are still without power.
Baltimore County was the hardest hit with more than 15,000 reported outages. Baltimore City is following right behind the county with 5,600 outages
Reporting outages
Customers are always reminded to stay away from downed power lines and to report them immediately by calling 800.685.0123.
Power outages should be reported by calling BGE’s automated system at 1.877.778.2222.
