GARRETT COUNTY, Md. - It wasn’t just the flooding and lack of power that pushed people out of their homes because of Sandy.  Many had to flee because of snow.

Later on Thursday, Governor Martin O’Malley is headed to Western Maryland to visit those staying in shelters in Garrett County.

In that part of the state, they saw two to three feet of snow as Sandy blew through.

O’Malley will also meet with the County’s Emergency Manager and Incident Management Team.
