MECHANICSVILLE, Md (WMAR) - A registered sex offender is in trouble with the law again after police say he violated his registry and resisted arrest.
On June 22, Donald Taylor III, 31, a Tier III registered sex offender, began corresponding with a woman on a social networking site using the screen name "Donald Taylor".
Taylor scheduled a meeting with the woman at an address in Mechanicsville. Taylor, is currently registered as a homeless person in Calvert County.
In formation was obtained by the St. Mary's County Police that Taylor had been living at an address in Mechanicsville for the past two weeks. Taylor had failed to provide his current address, screen name he was utilizing on a social networking site and failed to provide his current phone number he was using, as required by the sex offender registry.
On June 26, detectives responded to the address provided and found Taylor. In an attempt to place him under arrest, Taylor became combative and bit the arresting detective on the hand.
Following the struggle, Taylor was taken into custody.
Taylor was charged with 3 counts of sex offender registry violations, assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.
