The state Health Department is reporting the second West Nile Virus death in Maryland.
Health officials have detected 25 cases in Maryland residents, including two deaths.
The cases have been found in 13 counties around the state. Maryland health officials say that all of the cases have been found in adults.
The Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene says that they are more than half of the way through their West Nile Virus surveillance season.
Crews will be spraying for mosquitos at 7:30 in Millford Mills, Md. Officials say that you should stay inside at least 30 minutes after the spraying.
The best thing you can do to avoid getting mosquito bites is to stay inside when mosquitos are most active, at dawn and dusk said Katherine Feldman, Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
