DUNDALK, Md. - Maryland Rep. C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger wants help members of the National Guard serving in Egypt come home to visit their families.
Ruppersberger is scheduled to announce legislation on Wednesday in Dundalk.
About 440 Maryland Army National Guard Soldiers have been deployed for a year to the Sinai Peninsula. Under current federal law, Egypt is not included in the U.S. military's rest-and-recuperation absence program, which covers expenses for soldiers to come home.
