FLINTSTONE, Md. (AP) -

The Rocky Gap Lodge & Golf Resort near Cumberland was looking for card dealers -- and got many more applicants than it needs.

The resort inside Rocky Gap State Park held a job fair Wednesday to fill 100 dealer positions for a casino that will open there in June. About 250 attended.

Owner Lakes Entertainment says those accepted will attend a 12-week dealer school.

The company says it expects to nearly double the facility's employment to more than 250 when the casino opens.

Lakes Entertainment plans to open the casino with 550 slot machines and 10 table games. It's licensed for up to 1,500 slots.

New conference space will open in the fall.
