BALTIMORE - A group supporting Maryland's same-sex marriage law is gearing up to defend it, if opponents succeed in putting the matter on the ballot for voters to decide in November.

Marylanders for Marriage Equality on Thursday announced the campaign has opened two offices and hired staff.
The two offices are in Baltimore and Silver Spring. The group says additional office space is expected in coming months.

The group also says it has hired 12 field staffers to work across the state.
