CUMBERLAND, Md. -

Potomac Edison says it has restored power to more than 1,000 customers in western Maryland after snow and strong wind gusts caused power outages earlier this weekend.

Potomac Edison's website showed Sunday that just 25 customers were without power in Garrett county and no customers were without power in Allegany county. That's down from more than 1,200 customers without power in the two counties as of about 7 p.m. Saturday.
