Police in Md. investigating crash that left 1 dead

ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) -  

Montgomery County Police are investigating a fatal collision in Derwood that left one person dead.
 
Montgomery County Police say the crash happened Sunday morning at about 10:30 a.m. on Airpark Road.
 
Police say the driver of a silver 2000 Mazda 626 was attempting to negotiate a curve but for unknown reasons crossed into the southbound lanes and struck a white 2010 Lexus and a gray 2012 Acura.
 
A 53-year-old man in the front seat of the Mazda died on the scene. The driver of the Mazda and the driver of the Acura were transported to a hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Lexus was not injured.
 
Police did not identify any of the individuals involved in the crash and are continuing to investigate.
