On Monday, the House will begin debate on expanded gambling in Maryland.
The House will gather at 10 a.m. Then lawmakers on the Ways and Means committee will work on the bill in the afternoon.
On Friday, the Senate passed the measure to approve a sixth casino at National Harbor in Prince George’s County.
And to add table games like poker and black jack to all the sites.
Supporters of the measure say expanded gambling will bring more jobs and money to the state.
But opponents argue adding a sixth casino is unfair to current casino owners who stand to lose business.
If the House approves the bill, voters will have the final say in November. The issue will be on the ballot.
