New proposal extends state sales tax

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - There's a new proposal in the State Legislature to change the sales tax.

Delegates Hixson and Gilchrist want to expand our 6% sales tax to 29 additional services.

In their plan, you would get taxed on getting your car repaired, washed, or towed.

You would also get taxed when you get your hair done or cut.

And this is just a partial list of what they propose.
