Maryland State Police officers are investigating the case of a man found under a bridge Saturday at around 11 p.m. with several injuries – including two broken legs.
Officials say 38-year-old Timothy Williams has no permanent address but has been staying in the area of Route 27 near Hahn Road. They were alerted to Timothy’s condition after the Westminster Police Department received a call from Timothy’s brother.
The brother reportedly told officers he had just been called by Timothy and informed Timothy was hurt.
Westminster officers, joined by officers from the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and Maryland State Police began a search and eventually found Timothy Williams under a bridge on Route 27 that goes over a railroad track between Hahn Road and Bennett Cerf Drive.
Investigators believe Williams fell from the bridge, a 30-foot drop to the tracks. They are not sure what caused Williams to fall, and police say that fact remains a priority in the investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Maryland State Police at 410-386-3000.
