FREDERICK, Md. (AP) - A Frederick radio station says it's pulling from its playlist a song referencing children running away from a gun.

The popular song, "Pumped Up Kicks" by the group Foster the People, includes the lyrics, "All the other kids with the pumped up kicks, you better run, better run, outrun my gun."

Fred Manning, chief operations officer for KEY 103, tells The Frederick News-Post that the song was manually removed from the station's playlist but inadvertently left in the computerized system. That meant the song continued playing as recently as Tuesday morning. Manning says the mistake is now being corrected.

One listener, Mark Johnson, says he considers the song insensitive to the victims of the Connecticut elementary school shooting and was surprised the station was still playing it.
