The gas tax may be unpopular, but Senate president Mike Miller says it needs to be on the table.
Miller unveiled his plan to fund transportation projects Wednesday. In it, he wants to tax parts of the state differently.
Miller’s plan could raise $300 million. He says it will take a lot of cooperation to make it happen and that it is something the governor should make a priority.
It’s important to point out that the gas tax is not part of the governor’s original budget.
