The Maryland Transit Administration is working to make sure passengers get home safely and on time during this week's winter weather.
They've put a special "snow plan" into place, which includes continuously monitoring subway and light rail conditions, as well as bus routes.
Officials with the administration say local buses will operate on regular routes as long as possible, but some routes will be redirected to snow emergency routes, depending on ice and snow levels.
The MTA will also use special "snow trains" during overnight hours if needed.
Also, crews are ready to remove ice and snow from parking lots and entrances.
