BALTIMORE (AP) -

Maryland highway officials are warning motorists that state roads could be slick during and after the Super Bowl.

The State Highway Administration says light snow is possible Sunday afternoon as motorists are headed to Super Bowl events. The highway administration says crews will be treating roadways with salt as needed, but drivers should be cautious because it takes time for salt to melt snow and ice.

Motorists are also being asked to allow extra travel time, travel with plenty of fuel and take time to clear snow and ice from their vehicles.
