CALVERTON, Md - Prince George's County police say a man was fatally shot during a confrontation with an officer.
Officers responded to Twin Lakes Drive around 2 a.m. Wednesday after police say a 911 caller reported hearing a woman screaming for someone to get off of her.
Police say officers found the woman and man who ran from officers.
After a brief foot chase, police say the man and an officer were involved in some sort of confrontation and the officer fired his weapon.
The man was pronounced dead on the scene.
There's no word on whether the deceased male was armed.
Police say the woman was injured, but is expected to recover.
