SEAT PLEASANT, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County police say a 25-year-old man was fatally shot as he held a 2-year-old boy, and the boy was shot in the arm.
Police say they believe the adult victim was targeted. The toddler's injuries are not life-threatening.
The shooting occurred shortly after 10 a.m. Monday at a garden-style apartment building in Seat Pleasant.
Police spokeswoman Julie Parker says two people were seen fleeing the scene in a black BMW sedan.
