Man pleads guilty in killing of restaurant manager

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -  

A man has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the shooting of a fast-food restaurant manager.
 
   Jose Reyes Mejia-Varela entered the plea Tuesday in the death of 32-year-old Jacinta "Patty" Ayala of Frederick.
 
   The judge, defense and prosecutors agreed to a sentence of life with the possibility of parole. Sentencing is set for Feb. 26.
 
   Ayala was killed during an apparent robbery on March 18, 2011 as she opened a Burger King restaurant.
