QUEEN ANNE, Md. (AP) -

Maryland State Police say a man was killed when the box truck he was driving crossed the center line on Route 309 in Queen Anne and crashed into a tractor-trailer.

Troopers say 61-year-old Richard Ivey Sasser of Middle River was traveling south Friday afternoon and entered a curve. Police say a gust of wind may have caused the truck to cross the center line.

Sasser's truck hit a tractor-trailer operated by 54-year-old Richard D. Libby of Ridgely. The box truck fell on its side. Sasser was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Star Democrat of Easton reports (http://bit.ly/XZwQNc) that Libby and a passenger in his tractor-trailer, 49-year-old Susan M. Libby, were taken to a local hospital as a precaution.
