Man charged with stealing officer's gun from Ocean City hotel room

OCEAN CITY, Md. - Ocean City Police have arrested a man they say stole an off-duty law enforcer's handgun from a hotel room.

Police say a federal law enforcement officer who was staying at the Comfort Inn last week reported his off-duty .40 caliber handgun and several other items were missing from his room.
 
Ocean City police looked at hotel surveillance videos and identified a suspect.
 
His description was broadcast to officers.
 
Police arrested a man on the Boardwalk and say he had the stolen handgun.
 
Nineteen-year-old Jeffery Lynn King of Bridgeville, Del. has been charged with burglary, possession of a handgun and other offenses.
