SUITLAND, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County Police have arrested a man they say robbed and assaulted an 84-year-old woman in her home in Suitland.

Fifty-six-year-old Rodney William Blanton of Suitland was arrested Aug. 30. He is charged with robbery, assault and other offenses and is being held without bond.

Police say on Feb. 2, Blanton forced his way into the victim's home, assaulted her, stole money and ran away. The victim was on the floor of her home for 24 hours before a neighbor called police.

Authorities say Blanton was identified as a suspect through DNA evidence.
