MYERSVILLE, Md - A western Maryland golf club wants to make September 11 a day of happy memories for one lucky couple.
The Musket Ridge Golf Club in Myersville will give away a wedding on September 11 to the military service member, veteran or first responder who makes the most compelling case in 50 words or less.
The club's management says it was inspired by the death of Osama bin Laden to thank those who risked their lives after terrorists attacked U.S. targets in 2001.
Musket Ridge opened in September 2001, and the club says the anniversary weighs on the minds of its staff and management.
The club says that by reclaiming the day for happy memories, it's not giving in to terrorism.

A smuggling ring that made a fortune selling more than a million cartons of untaxed cigarettes in New York may have funneled some of the illicit proceeds to terrorist groups, authorities said Thursday.
