FREDERICK, Md. - Police in Frederick say a Burger King worker was killed in an apparent robbery at the restaurant on East Patrick Street.

Lt. Clark Pennington says the woman was pronounced dead on the scene of an apparent gunshot wound shortly after 6 a.m. Friday. Pennington would not identify the victim, pending notification of relatives.

He says she had opened up the business. Other employees found her unresponsive inside the store and performed CPR until police and emergency workers arrived.
