EASTON, Md. (WMAR) - Police say alcohol may have been a factor in a five car crash on Route 50 Friday night near Easton.
Maryland State Police said officers were called to the westbound lanes of Route 50 for a report of a multicar collision.
A preliminary investigation found that a car driving in the eastbound lane crossed over into the westbound lanes. Five cars were involved in the crash and several people were taken to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
Police said the at fault driver may have been drinking. The driver was arrested at the scene and charges are pending, police said.
