LAUREL, Md. (AP) -

A Prince George's County fire engine collided with a vehicle while responding to an emergency call, sending a woman to the hospital.

Fire department spokesman Mark Brady says firefighters from Laurel were responding to a possible fire Sunday afternoon about 3:15 p.m. on Briarwood Drive. The fire engine from the Calverton Fire and EMS station collided with a car on the way to the scene.

Brady says a woman driving the vehicle sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash. Three firefighters on the truck were not injured.

Prince George's County police are investigating the crash.
