BALTIMORE - Recent news is that local and state governments around the country will be cutting up to 500,000 jobs in the coming fiscal years because of tough problems with budgets. How that might impact those trying to find work now and where jobs can be found in Maryland were just some of the questions ABC2 News' Megan Pringle asked Secretary Christian Johansson from the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development recently.
During the conversation on Good Morning Maryland @ 9, Secretary Johannson talked about the efforts of the state to create jobs for those out of work and how Maryland has been lucky to not suffer as severe a job loss as many other states have experienced. Secretary Johannson also talked about where those jobs are being created, including in new sectors like green businesses.
