FREDERICK, Md. (AP) - A former state trooper who threatened to kill a woman has pleaded guilty to assault.
38-year-old Eric Paul Funk entered the plea on Monday. Sentencing is set for Tuesday in Frederick County Circuit Court.
Police say Funk assaulted the woman in February by punching out a window in her home, causing her to be hurt by broken glass. Fun said he planned to kill the woman by hanging her.
