Flooding is a concern in Worcester County.
Worcester County officials advise residents in the West Ocean City area and other low lying areas in the county that the Stephen Decatur Middle School, located at 9815 Seahawk Road, will be open for emergency shelter at 9:00 PM tonight due to deteriorating weather conditions, coastal flooding, high winds and loss of power.
This is a pet friendly shelter, and people bringing their domestic animals must bring their own cages, food and water for their pets.
You should bring bedding, medicines, toys for children and/or any special dietary requirements with you.
Anyone who does not feel comfortable in their surroundings is urged to seek shelter.
Water wasn't the only concern. Wind in Ocean city whipped around tree limbs, traffic cameras and road debris.
