BALTIMORE -
Despite the threat of severe weather, early voting begins Saturday and runs through Thursday, November 1.

Election officials are urging those who plan to vote early to beat the storm and cast their votes today. It’s unclear if the storm will affect early voting, but Governor Martin O’Malley declared a state of emergency Friday which allows for voting alternatives in the case of a situation that “interferes with the electoral process.”
The Governor's Office and the Maryland Emergency Management Agency are actively monitoring weather developments to determine whether changes to the early voting schedule may be necessary to protect public safety.
In the meantime, all voting sites are open and staffed. Get out and vote today.
