If you need to buy a refrigerator, washing machine or stove, you will save on the state taxes if you can wait until this weekend.

Today, Comptroller Peter Franchot will join other state officials in announcing the state tax break at Cummins Appliance on Reisterstown Road.

The Comptroller will reveal the list of products that will be eligible for the savings.

From Saturday, February 16 through Monday, February 18, qualifying Energy Star products will be exempt from Maryland's 6% sales tax.

You can find a list of exempt and taxable items on the Comptroller's website at http://www.marylandtaxes.com.
