Clarence M. Mitchell, III, a former Maryland State Senator, has passed away according to a family member.
Mitchell, III is a former Democrat for District 39. He was a member of the House of Delegates from 1963 to 1967. He was in the Senate from 1967 to 1981.
ABC2 News learned of his passing from a recent twitter post from his nephew, Keiffer Mitchell. Keiffer Mitchell is a Delegate in Maryland's 44th District.
