COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The bomb squad in Prince George's County worked on a hazardous device found in College Park Friday on Edgewood Road.

Several homes in the 5000 block of Edgewood Road were evacuated as a result of the incident.

Officials say the bomb squad was successful in rendering the device safe.

The county police department, City of Annapolis Bob Squad, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) and the FBI are working on the investigation.
