BALTIMORE - BGE is preparing for potential heavy rain and possible snow in the northern portions of Maryland.
The forecast calls for high wind and wind gusts of up to 40 miles an hour.
The company is monitoring the weather system and preparing crews to respond to power outages that may occur.
Customers are being reminded to call 877-778-2222 to report outages.
They can also visit the company's website to get updates on power outages in the service area.
BGE says when the wind exceeds 25 miles an hour, repair work that requires use of their bucket trucks cannot be safely performed.
In addition, BGE customers who are elderly, disabled or depend on electricity for medical equipment should make alternate arrangement just in case the power goes out.
