LIBERTYTOWN, Md. (AP) - A Frederick County Emergency Services spokesman says five people, including four students, have been sent to hospitals after a school bus collided with a vehicle near Libertytown.

The crash Tuesday afternoon closed a section of Route 75 between Old Annapolis Road and Glissans Mill Road.

Spokesman Michael Dmuchowski says none of the students suffered life-threatening injuries. They were taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital for evaluation.

He says a Maryland State Police helicopter flew the driver of the other vehicle to a trauma unit care unit, possibly the Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown. He didn't know that patient's condition.

He says the bus was carrying about 14 children from the New Market elementary and middle schools.
