GAITHERSBURG, Md. -
Detectives have arrested Quinnton Brown in connection with an attempted homicide and kidnapping of a 31-year-old man.
On January 22 at about 8:00 a.m., Detectives from the Montgomery County Police responded to a remote location in the woods on Game Preserve Road in Gaithersburg for reports of a robbery.
The victim told police that he had been forced at gunpoint from his home in the 19800 block of Crystal Rock Drive in Germantown. The suspects ordered him into a vehicle and drove to an ATM machine where the victim was forced to withdraw money.
Once the suspects had the money they told the victim to a remote area and made him walk into the woods. Fearing for his life, the victim physically fought with the suspects.
One of the suspects shot at the victim and then they fled the scene.
The victim suffered only minor scratches during the incident.
One of the suspects was identified as Brown, 24, who is known to the victim. Brown was charged with attempted first degree murder, kidnapping, robbery, use of a handgun in the commission of a crime of violence, use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, reckless endangerment and first degree assault.
He was located on January 27 in York, Pa, where he was arrested.
