SAVAGE, Md. - A Maryland State Trooper avoided a Christmas disaster Tuesday morning after the trooper's cruiser was struck by another car.
According to the Maryland State Police Waterloo Barracks, the trooper was out of the cruiser helping another car back up on an overpass on I-95 just south of Route 32, when a car slid on the ice and crashed into the state police cruiser.
Nobody was seriously hurt and the road was shut down for a short period to allow the State Highway Administration to send out a crew to treat the road.
