Six left without home after fire

LISBON, Md. (WMAR) - Fire crews in Howard County are trying to figure out what sparked a house fire that left six people homeless.
Units responded to the 1600 block of Long Corner Road in Lisbon just after 6:00 p.m. to find a single family home with heavy fire showing from the roof and windows.
A total of 6 residents were home at the time of the fire, but were able to get out of the house before crews arrived.
Due to the remote location of the home, extra tanker trucks from Carroll and Frederick Counties were called in to help transport the water needed to put the fire out.
Mutual aide was also provided by Baltimore County.
In total it took more than 30 units one hour and forty minutes to place the blaze under control.
There were no injuries reported during the fire, and the family is being assisted by the American Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
