School safety forum tonight in Howard County

COLUMBIA, Md. - In the wake of the Connecticut school shooting, schools everywhere are focused on protecting children. 

Today,  Howard County officials are holding another safety forum. 
 
The event will be hosted by the joint task force on school safety, which was set up in response to the Sandy Hook massacre. 
 
It's in charge of reviewing and recommending improvements in security protocols, emergency response planning and prevention. 
 
Parents are invited to attend tonight's meeting and and offer input. 
 
The event goes from 7 p-m to 9 p-m at Wilde Lake High School.
