Route 32 closed after fatal Clarksville crash

CLARKSVILLE, Md. - One person is dead and Route 32 was closed after a crash in Clarksville Tuesday morning.

The crash happened around 8:15 a.m. on Route 32 near Route 108.  Howard County Police say it appears a flatbed truck traveling southbound on Route 32 near Route 108 slid into northbound traffic when the driver applied the brakes. They say the truck was struck by a Jeep traveling northbound.

The road stay closed until about 2 p.m.

The driver of the Jeep, 68-year-old Michael Dumonceau, was transported by ambulance to Howard County General Hospital where he later died. Officials say the driver of the flatbed truck is not injured.
